I’m in the early stages of buying a home in Texas and could really use some guidance on finding the right home loan officer. I’ve heard that working with a knowledgeable loan officer can make the entire mortgage process smoother, but I’m not sure where to start.

Does anyone have any recommendations for experienced home loan officers in Texas? What should I be looking for in terms of qualifications or experience? And, if you've recently bought a home, how was your experience with your loan officer?

Additionally, are there any red flags or common issues I should be aware of when working with a loan officer in Texas?

I’d appreciate any advice or personal experiences to help me make an informed decision!
