Hydrocele is a common condition in males in which fluid builds up around one or both of the testicles. The swelling usually causes mild to moderate discomfort, although it can be more severe at times. It is most commonly caused by an accumulation of body fluid in the spermatic cord, which holds the testicles in place. In some cases, hydrocele may be linked to infection, trauma, or prior surgery on the testicles.Some popular herbal remedies for hydrocele  include chamomile, turmeric, ginger root extract and lavender essential oil. Although these simple strategies may provide temporary relief from painful symptoms associated with hydrocele, it is important to speak with your doctor if you experience persistent pain or discomfort. In some cases a more invasive procedure may be required if natural treatment fails to alleviate symptoms.
